Tell us a bit about your career to date and how you got into Recruitment.

Like most of us, I fell into it. I was coming to the end of my accounting degree and working in an internship where I had a grad role lined up once I finished my undergrad. I wasn't really enjoying it and didn't see it as being a long term option for me. In the end, I asked a mate who ran a mortgage brokerage firm if he was hiring just to try something different. He said he had no vacancy for me but referred me to one of his friends who ran a recruitment firm. I started on a three-month contract resourcing to see if I liked it and they liked me. The rest, as they say, is history.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Fetch?

Hard to name just one. Autonomy is big here and I really appreciate it. The banter in the office is strong and the office location is excellent. I love 3 pm snacks and the fact I can bring my dog to work.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about recruitment / your industry?.

It can be extremely fulfilling. Helping a candidate find their dream job or solving a problem for an amazing client can really put a smile on your dial.

Number 1 career highlight to date?

I've helped a client build an entire infrastructure division in Melbourne where they had no work, to winning projects up to $250m in value. It was a great experience.

Your life mantra is / Your philosophy on life is / The words you live by are…

The harder you work, the luckier you get.

Which celebrity would play you in the movie of your life?

If you were on death row, what would be your last meal?

Salt & Vinegar chips and a fresh plate of sashimi for entree, slow-cooked beef brisket for main and a glass of four pillars & tonic to wash it down with.

Name three things right now you are grateful for.

My amazing girlfriend and our Doggo (Kransky)

My family and friends

Salt & Vinegar Chips

Tell us a #FunFact about you!

I'm petrified of jellyfish and mushrooms when they're in the ground growing, it stems from an episode of Around the Twist.

One job I’m recruiting for RIGHT NOW is:

Principal Signalling Engineer
