Job description
Long-established and well-known Construction business now seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to manage the AP process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining supplier relationships.

This is a full-time, permanent position that would be fully office-based in Port Melbourne. This role requires someone with solid experience in an Accounts Payable role previously. 


The Role

Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Prepare and process payments
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Maintain accounts payable records
  • Assist in financial reporting
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with laws and policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experiences:

  • 2-3 years' in an Accounts Payable capacity, preferably within a medium or large sized organisation, or working across multiple different entities
  • Construction or allied industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

As this is a full-time, permanent position, candidates will need full working rights without restriction in Australia. As this is a fully office-based position, candidates must be local to Melbourne and be willing and able to commute to Port Melbourne on a daily basis.
