Job description
Long-established and well-known Construction business now seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to manage the AP process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining supplier relationships.
This is a full-time, permanent position that would be fully office-based in Port Melbourne. This role requires someone with solid experience in an Accounts Payable role previously.

The Role
Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:
- Process supplier invoices
- Prepare and process payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Maintain accounts payable records
- Assist in financial reporting
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with laws and policies
- Identify and implement process improvements
The Person
The ideal candidate will bring to the table the following skills and prior experiences:
- 2-3 years' in an Accounts Payable capacity, preferably within a medium or large sized organisation, or working across multiple different entities
- Construction or allied industry experience preferred but not essential
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
