Overview:
Fetch Recruitment are partnering with a number of Melbourne-based Maintenance and General Plumbing Business serving the Aged Care and Retirement Living, Healthcare, Education, and Facilities Maintenance sectors. They pride themselves on understanding client needs, delivering quality workmanship, and maintaining professional operating systems. As a Plumber, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on various maintenance and construction projects. You will work according to building plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules, ensuring the highest quality standards while maintaining integrity and client-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing:
- Inspect and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and water pressure issues
- Test and maintain backflow prevention devices
- Perform routine maintenance on pumps, valves, and water heaters
- Keep records of maintenance tasks and repair work
- Work autonomously and effectively with other stakeholders.
- Communicate in a timely, clear, concise, and respectful manner.
- Mentor Apprentices, providing on-the-job training and performance management.
- Immediately communicate client requests or concerns to Project Managers or relevant Managers.
- Current Plumbing Registration, certified by the Victorian Building Authority.
- Industry White Card (former Red Card acceptable).
- Confined Spaces certification (desirable).
- Work at heights certification (desirable)
- Full Victorian (or recognized equivalent) Driver’s License.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent work quality and high attention to detail.
- Well presented and empathetic to clients’ needs.
- Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
- Initiative and preparedness for any situation.
- High level of customer service and desire to help.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
