Position: Senior Mining Engineer - Underground
Location: Perth, WA
Salary: $185K incl. Superannuation plus 7.5%-15% Bonus
About the Role:
Our client, a premier gold exploration and development company based in Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role will focus on different site-based tasks including mine site analysis, reporting and safety management. With this role, you will leverage your extensive expertise and knowledge in mining to inform critical decisions and develop effective solutions. Your deep understanding of mining operations, design, and engineering principles will be essential in addressing complex challenges, optimising processes, and ensuring the successful execution of mining projects.

- Mine optimisation and planning include dewatering
- Superintend mine development and report
- Safety management and plot drill and blast plans
- Quality and equipment control
- Technical input and leadership to subordinate
- Mine-site performance management and improvement

About the client:

Key Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in mining operations.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Skilled in mine planning and scheduling software (ie: Deswik).
- Current WA C-class driver’s licence. First Class Mine Managers Certificate would be preferred.
