- Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications in accordance with project requirements, building codes, and regulations.
- Lead the drafting team, providing guidance and support to junior draftspersons to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of drawings to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance drafting processes and efficiency.
- Liaise with external consultants, authorities, and suppliers as required to facilitate project progression.
- Proven experience as a Draftsperson within the residential construction industry, preferably with a volume builder.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in drafting, architecture, or a related field.
