Position Title: Maintenance Plumber

The client are a Melbourne-based Maintenance and General Plumbing Business serving the Aged Care and Retirement Living, Healthcare, Education, and Facilities Maintenance sectors. Position Purpose:
As a Plumber, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on various maintenance and construction projects. You will work according to building plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules, ensuring the highest quality standards while maintaining integrity and client-focused service.

As a Plumber, you will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on various maintenance and construction projects. You will work according to building plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules, ensuring the highest quality standards while maintaining integrity and client-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing:
- Understand construction drawings and scope of works.
- Pre-plan materials required before project commencement.
- Execute plumbing duties per construction drawings, scope of works, trade schedules, and industry regulations.
- Accurately quote timeframes and materials for small to medium-sized jobs.
- Work autonomously and effectively with other stakeholders.
- Communicate in a timely, clear, concise, and respectful manner.
- Mentor Apprentices, providing on-the-job training and performance management.
- Immediately communicate client requests or concerns to Project Managers or relevant Managers.
- Attend daily pre-start meetings, monthly toolbox meetings, and other business meetings as required.
- Submit identified business improvement initiatives.
- Current Plumbing Registration, certified by the Victorian Building Authority.
- Industry White Card (former Red Card acceptable).
- Confined Spaces certification (desirable).
- Work at heights certification.
- Full Victorian (or recognized equivalent) Driver’s License.
- Clean Police and Working with Children records.
- Annual flu vaccination certification.
- Fully COVID vaccinated (2 doses and booster).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent work quality and high attention to detail.
- Well presented and empathetic to clients’ needs.
- Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
- Initiative and preparedness for any situation.
- High level of customer service and desire to help.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
