Senior Drainage & Design Engineer

The role:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Design and Drainage Engineer to help guide and mentor a team of junior drainage engineers. You will be tasked with overseeing and delegating drainage enquiries in relations to customer service requests, regarding flooding, drainage and stormwater improvements, Legal points of discharge and development applications. Project management will be required when liaising with external consultants with Flood modelling & major projects involving drainage.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering).
• Experience in the use of various computer packages Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, Drains, TUFLOW and/or AutoCAD for the design of civil works is desirable
• Minimum of 3 years experience in civil engineering is required, including experience in drainage design, plan preparation, contract management
• Proven customer service ability when liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Previous experience working in a local council or government role a bonus
• Demonstrated ability to manage interactions and situations in a calm, rational and respectful manner
