This role is perfect for a proven development Project Manager with a min 4 year expereince. Report directly to the Development Manager and take accountability for assisting the project team across all project requirements from budgets, procurement, quality control, and project risks. Importantly also take ownership of the project communications with various clients, consultants, stakeholders and contractors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Min 4 years of work experience in project management on projects in excess of $25mil for a developer or consultancy.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field of project management, architecture, planning, urban design or construction management.
  • Prior property and construction industry experience is highly desirable
  • Be more than comfortable to work on projects with min 3 year durations.
  • Be able to apply guidelines, standards and processes which are generally clear and established, and the ability to communicate nonclear guidelines in a clear manner.
  • Proven and successful skills in managing multiple moving parts simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education policies and Code of Conduct.
  • Strong track record in delivering construction projects in alignment with schedules, budgets, and customer expectations
  • Thorough understanding of design and construction processes
  • Ability to work across a range of projects that vary in scale, sector, and status
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills – Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and task priority skills.
  • Proven ability in managing and negotiating with subcontractors in procurement and delivery on projects
DUTIES
Reporting straight to the senior staff, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
  • Formulate budgets from feasibility/investment models and effectively manage and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, develop, and retain effective relationships with relevant project stakeholders, such as consultants, statutory authorities, builders, suppliers, and contractors
  • Facilitate project and product briefs, assist with the design process, manage consultants, and support value management processes
  • Support the preparation and lodgment of planning and development approvals
  • Review the construction program and assess any potential risks
  • Conduct due diligence activities for new projects including assisting in formulating financial models, outlining funding requirements across initial acquisition, through approvals and across delivery stages
  • Conduct regular site visits to address safety, quality, costs, design issues etc.
  • Oversee project quality control and assure project is delivered in accordance with design documents and PPR
  • Liaise with other internal departments
