Payroll & Accounts Administrator - Construction

We are now seeking a full time Payroll & Accounts Manager to join the fast-paced team just 15 minutes from Melbourne's CBD.

You will be joining an established construction company specialising in concrete structures operating for over 10+ years with an employee base of 120+ trades & 20 office professionals.

Roles & Responsibilities;

As a full-time accounts officer you will work collaboratively in a team of 2, Your main responsibility is to manage the business accounts, payroll & uphold our client & employee relationships.

Accounts:

  • Proficient in invoicing accounts payable /receivable operating off purchase order sequencing
  • Client / Employee relationships, ability to secure payments and outstanding invoices
  • Legislative requirements regarding Payroll tax and Superannuation
  • Proven experience in accounts payable & receivable within construction

Payroll:

  • Delivering an efficient and accurate payroll service, ensuring each pay run is calculated and processed accurately for a fortnightly payroll of over 120+ employees
  • Maintaining employee and standard payroll data and make approved changes
  • Working with several EBA's and Awards, you will possess end to end delivery with multiple payroll functions

Personal Attributes;

  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in Payroll / accounts, within construction
  • Knowledge of Construction Awards and EBA's in Australia
  • Experience with accounting software packages, XERO & Deputy required
  • Confidence to work autonomously & meet daily / weekly deadlines
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication and customer service with ability to work at a fast-pace in sometimes demanding environments
  • Lead by example setting a professional & reliable daily approach to your responsibilities
