Based just 5 mins from the CBD my client is an award winning National Construction Company with high staff retention rates and enormous benefits. They are diverse in the work they deliver but certainly have a very strong hold of the institutional and recreation sectors delivering complex architectural projects. Due to their reputation as industry leaders and repeat business from their impressive client base they are looking for another Estimator to join their dedicated team of 3.

The right person will receive a generous salary package and the opportunity to grow with a supportive, progressive team working on varied projects valued up to $40M. You will be working with some of Victoria's best estimators, where you will be challenged and developed.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate cost estimates
• Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
• Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
• Ensure timely completion of estimates
• Understand scope of work to bid
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors
• Prepare cost analysis
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

Key skills required to succeed

• A strong attention to detail
• A Tertiary qualification in construction or a related degree with the equivalent knowledge, skills
• Previous experience as an Estimator working on commercial projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology
• Knowledge of Melbourne construction market and subcontractors
