Estimating Manager - Medium Density Builder: North West

About the Role
You will be running and leading the estimating and procurement department, operating across the North and Western suburbs of Melbourne. Reporting to a hands-on and supportive Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Managing the estimating and procurement team
• Help with the training and development of the department
• Be a part of the recruitment process
• Preparation and administration of project estimates and tenders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of completion
• Accurately produce a variety of BOQ's and assess the building materials required for each job
• Managing RFI's and tender addendums with Architects and Contractors
• Produce Purchase Orders for the supply of labour and materials
• Calculate customer variation costs
• Preparation of monthly progress claims and variations
• Monitor project plans, budgets and expenditure and report accordingly
• Liaise with Site Supervisors and subcontractors
• Coordinate deliveries in association with relevant site based personnel

To Be Considered
To be considered for this unique opportunity, we are looking for;

• Minimum 6 years experience working within an Estimating role for a volume/ medium density builder
• Knowledge of residential building codes and guidelines and an understanding of the Victorian Residential Construction market
• Must live locally and have the right to work in Australia
• A general desire to not only do you your job to the best of your ability but also a desire to help grow, train and develop your team
• Be comfortable working autonomously and with a small and inclusive team
• A strong work ethic and desire to succeed
