Engineering Manager

Our client is a renowned organisation providing integrated rail solutions on projects throughout Victoria.


Due to recent project wins and increase in workload, they now require and experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background on Rail infrastructure projects and Rail Systems. To be considered for this role the successful candidate must have strong experience in managing the design/technical input for bids and delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the effective, efficient and successful execution of the bid, design and overall build.
• Managing the design interface with engineering consultancies to ensure value for money and technical excellence
• Provide effective solutions to technical challenges.
• Oversee, Design Managers and Project Engineers, providing technical support/mentorship
• Provide significant support to major bids to ensure excellent technical bids are produced
• Report into the Project Director any issues around the design and constructability
• Ensure all designs are carried out in compliance with relevant codes and standards

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years Project Management/ Engineering experience working on Rail Systems
• Excellent understanding of Rail Systems - Signalling, Comms and HV distributions
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong leadership and man management skills
• A successful track record working for top tier contractors or consultants on large infrastructure projects
