Construction Manager | Contract Opportunity

A commercial concrete contractor located over 2 offices here in Melbourne's Inner & South East, operating for over 60 years offering concrete placement, formwork & steel packages.

With a portfolio range from $50,000 to $10 Million, our client offers a range of concrete options from mid-level apartments, warehousing, car parks, and retail flooring.

Due to the current events of covid-19 this role will be offered on a contract basis to an experienced Construction Manager holding vast experience in the concrete industry.

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Delivery of construction works associated with concrete, formwork & steel

• Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety an integral part of all work performed.

• Implement mechanisms that ensure that the quality of the work is in accordance with the standards as specified in the design documents and construction contracts.

• Coordinate, review and approve construction risk assessments.

• Responsible for management of the Contractors' handover activities including punching, construction verification and documentation handover in accordance with commissioning requirements.

• Coordinate the work and performance of up to 20+ team members on site, with the ability to achieve outcomes and troubleshooting onsite issues.

To be successful in this role, you must have;

• Tertiary qualification relevant to Construction with extensive experience within concrete formwork.

• Local experience to Melbourne with established industry network

• Experience within a Construction Manager role dealing with packages up to $10 Million.

• Proven experience in driving jobs and finishing below / on budget and on-time.

• Experience liaising with subcontractors, leading hands and staff in an approachable manner.
