Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper

Location - Inner Western Suburbs

Salary - $70,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation

The Company

My client is a fast growing civil contractor that are specialists within the formwork, steel and concrete fixing solutions for large scale civil projects. Since starting in 2019, my client has already become a known name in the industry with supplying solutions on some of the largest projects in the civil industry.

Due to growth, they are looking for an bookkeeper/administration officer to cover the internal bookkeeping processes and support the financial side of the business. My client still uses an external bookkeeper also which means there is still support within the role. With the business growing from strength to strength it is a great time to jump onboard, seize all opportunities out there and grow your career.

The Role

As a bookkeeper/administration officer your responsibilities will vary depending on experience, however, some of these would be as follows:

  • Performing accounts payable and receivable
  • Coordinating needed reporting with the external bookkeeper
  • Create budgets and financial reporting
  • Debtor management
  • EOFY reconciliations and functions
  • Contribute to improving accounts processes
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
  • Invoice approvals
  • General administration for other areas of the business

About you

  • Driven person that handles juggling multiple tasks well
  • Strong communication skills and are able to collaborate with team members
  • Proven track record of bookkeeping/administration
  • Experience using Xero
  • Strong Microsoft Suite and Excel skills
  • You work methodically, meticulously and have strong attention to detail
