ASSOCIATE TRANSPORT ENGINEER/PLANNER

We are currently looking for a successful Associate Transport Engineer/Planner to join our client a leading global engineering consultancy.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated expertise and a passion for delivering high quality transport planning and advisory services. We need a self-starter who has the expertise and skill to take the lead and deliver for both internal and external clients whilst leading a small team.

You are a team player with a willingness to both learn from others and to mentor and develop our emerging professionals. The role has significant scope to grow and develop with the business. To be successful in this role you will bring:

• A commitment to delivering technical excellence in transport planning and advisory services on projects
• A demonstrated understanding of good practice in integrated land use and transport planning, and applicable guidelines and tools
• Strong interest in sustainable transport policy, strategy and planning and the emerging trends that are transforming the future transport landscape
• Demonstrated understanding of active transport and public transport policy, strategy and planning
• Demonstrated skill in report writing and presentation of complex concepts and data in easily-understood, graphical formats suited to the intended reader.
• Experience in using Excel, GIS and/or other tools to analyse data and develop graphical outputs and mapping
• Willingness to learn and apply new skills in related traffic/transport demand analysis and modelling to inform transport
